Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These terms apply to the website at classloom.in and to the ClassLoom school management service, including the web admin and the parent and teacher apps (together, the "Service"). ClassLoom is a product of NexionBytes LLP, a limited liability partnership in India ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. Who these terms cover

A "School" is the institution that signs up for ClassLoom. A "User" is anyone the School gives access to, such as office staff, teachers, the principal, management and parents or guardians. If you accept these terms for a School, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

Where a School has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes priority over these terms if the two conflict.

2. The Service

ClassLoom helps schools manage daily work, such as student records, attendance, fees, homework, exams and communication with parents. The modules available to a School depend on what it has chosen and on the agreement it has with us.

ClassLoom is in early access. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn as the product develops. We'll give Schools reasonable notice of any change that significantly affects them.

3. Accounts and access

4. School responsibilities

The School is responsible for the data it and its Users put into the Service, and for having the right to share it with us. This includes giving any notice and obtaining any consent that the law requires from parents, guardians and staff. It also includes checking that fee structures, marks, report cards and notices are accurate before publishing them.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Fees and payment

Charges for the Service, including any usage-based charges such as SMS or WhatsApp messages, are set out in the School's quote or agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, invoices are payable by their due date and amounts exclude applicable taxes.

7. Payments made to Schools

Where parents pay school fees online, the payment is handled by the payment gateway the School has chosen, under the School's own account with that provider. We don't hold these funds. The School is responsible for its fee amounts, receipts, refunds and any dispute about them. Please contact the School about these.

8. Data and privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Schools own the data they put into the Service. We use it only to provide and support the Service, to keep it secure and to meet our legal obligations. We don't sell it.

9. Intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, design and the ClassLoom name and logo. Subject to these terms, Schools and their Users get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for the School's own operations. Schools keep all rights in their data and branding, and allow us to use them as needed to provide the Service.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on or connects with services from other companies, such as hosting, payment gateways, app stores, and SMS and WhatsApp providers. Their own terms apply to their services, and we aren't responsible for them.

11. Availability

We work to keep the Service reliable and secure, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may need to pause it for maintenance, security or reasons beyond our control. Any service commitment that applies to a School will be set out in its agreement with us.

12. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. These include fitness for a particular purpose. Reports and analytics are aids to decision-making, and don't replace the judgement of the School.

13. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount the School paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

The School agrees to compensate us for reasonable losses caused by third-party claims that arise from its unlawful use of the Service, its breach of these terms, or data it had no right to share with us.

15. Suspension and termination

A School can stop using the Service as set out in its agreement with us. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously breached, if charges remain unpaid after notice, or if needed to protect the Service or its Users. After termination, the School can request an export of its data within a reasonable period, after which we'll delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell Schools about significant changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any dispute process in a School's agreement with us, the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
